Armenia to complete transition to digital broadcasting only in 2016
YEREVAN, May 21. /ARKA/. Armenia's government decided today at its regular session that the country will complete its transition from analogous to digital broadcasting only in 2016.
Transport and Communications Minister Gagik Beglaryan said earlier that the government proposed amendments to the radio and television law to prolong the transition term for six months.
It was planned before to do it before July 1, 2015.
«The postponement was prompted by the necessity of specification of the project's social component and implementation of a better and smoother transition to digital broadcasting,» Beglaryan said. --0--
