Armenia to have single digital space
YEREVAN. June 8. /ARKA/. Armenian prime minister Karen Karapetyan instructed today corresponding bodies to prepare a single digital space of the country’s all-level government agencies.
He told a Cabinet session that the single digit space of the country, based on modern digital technology, will increase the efficiency of governance, its transparency and ensure also a favorable business environment.
According to the prime minister, the digitization of all the subjects of the state administration has a great applied effect and will help to identify shortcomings and omissions.
"We need to have a digital map. The word is about all government entities, all business processes, which must be digitized. The State Revenue Committee and the Ministry of Territorial Administration have developed digital maps of their subjects, and the results are quite positive," the prime minister said.
The electronic governance has made substantial progress in Armenia in recent years. In particular, electronic governance system is used to claim old-age or retirement pensions, receive maternity allowance, make an appointment with a doctor, obtain a license for private entrepreneurship and formalize tax documentation. -0-
