Armenia to present its applications at NASA Space Apps Challenge 2016 competition

YEREVAN, April 21. /ARKA/. Armenia will present its applications at NASA Space Apps Challenge 2016 international competition, Deem Communications company, a co-organized of the event, reported on Wednesday.

NASA Space Apps Challenge competition is already in its fifth year.

The Armenian round of the contest will be conducted in the Center for International Forums of the Byurakan Astrophysical Laboratory, affiliated to the Armenian National Academy of Science.

Software developers, designers, engineers, experts and analysts as well as students of appropriate departments may take part in the contest.

Six topics are offered to contenders – Technology, Solar System, Air Navigation, Planet Earth, Space Station and Journey to Mars.

It is necessary to present creative or innovative solutions, which will probably be put in practice and contribute to solution of certain space problems or farther researches.      

Contenders can come in teams or as individuals.

Participants may compete on an innovative open NASA platform, achieve an international recognition, know opinions of experts and use databases of NASA or other international companies which take part in the project.

The participants will tour the observatory's territory. The contest will last 48 hours (national contest in Armenia will last 24 hours).

The Armenian round of the competition is organized by X-TECH  and Locator companies. --0----
