Armenia wants Nokia to help build 5g network across country
YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. Armenian minister of transport, communications and information technology Vahan Martirosyan suggested today that Nokia communications, information technology and consumer electronics company participate in a project designed to ensure the coverage of 5G network across Armenia.
He made the proposal during a meeting in Yerevan with a Nokia delegation, headed by Olaf Schulz, the head of the government relations with Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Martirosyan was quoted as saying in a ministry’s press release that he hopes that Nokia will be represented in Armenia not only in the telecommunications field, but also in the digital infrastructure.
Olaf Schultz was said to have spoken about the prospects of the company's activities in Armenia.
Vahan Martirosyan suggested also that in addition to commercial representation in Armenia, Nokia create a research and development laboratory, taking into account the availability of highly qualified specialists and favorable conditions. -0-
