Armenian Bridges service enables Beeline subscribers to cut roaming costs
YEREVAN, November 20. / ARKA /. ArmenTel telecom (trading as Beeline) has announced the launch of new ‘Armenian Bridges’ service, which allows its roaming subscribers to initiate an incoming call fr om Armenia by using USSD-request service. The new service enables communication with subscribers of other mobile operators in Armenia. For subscribers in Armenia the call is free. By using Armenian Bridges service Beeline subscribers will be able to save a lot on roaming services. For example, the cost of an ordinary roaming minute from a CIS country is 360 drams, but when using the Armenian Bridges service the cost drops to 200 drams. ArmenTel CEO, Igor Klimko, said in a press release that thanks to this new service its clients can reduce the cost of roaming. “The new initiative of ArmenTel will allow our subscribers, despite the distance, stay in touch with their loved ones, to share with them the festive mood and bright impressions,” he said. To initiate a call, a roaming Beeline subscriber should dial USSD-command * 135 * 374YYXXXXXX #, wh ere YY is the operator’s prefix and XXXXXX is the six-digit number. The service is billed according to the terms of incoming roaming calls. ArmenTel is a subsidiary of Russian VimpelCom. It provides fixed and mobile phone communications, as well as high speed Internet access throughout the country. -0-
