Armenian defense ministry able to resist all cyber attacks

YEREVAN, April 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s defense ministry is fully capable of resisting cyber attacks and, in cases of necessity, organizes counterattacks, Armen Gnuni, an aide to defense minister on information technology issues, told journalists on Thursday.

"The ministry of defense always investigates cyber attacks against its resources, defends itself against them and, if necessary, resorts to reciprocal actions," Gnuni said.

According to him, the targets of recent cyber attacks are not the servers of the ministry, but its pages  on social networks Facebook and Twitter.

He said the pages are protected not only with logins and passwords, but also with special software that provides maximum protection. "I do not think this software can be cracked," he stressed.  -0--
