ArmenTel awarded Gold Award for enforcement of international standards
YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. Armenia’s ArmenTel telecom operator (trading as Beeline) was awarded the Gold Award of a contest organized by the National Institute of Standards and the National Trust organization for its important role and active participation in the enforcement and implementation of international standards.
The aim of the event is to promote local enterprises, operating in accordance with international standards. The winners were selected based on various international certifications, ratings, prizes of international competitions, as well as the amount of exports and imports of goods and the degree of standardization.
According to the head of the National Trust Astghik Khachatryan, such events are held in various developed countries, since they promote the use of new approaches and improve the quality of international standardization and metrology.
ArmenTel was entirely acquired by VimpelCom in 2007. It provides fixed and mobile telephony services as well as high-speed Internet.-0-
