ArmenTel helps improve children’s computer literacy
YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. ArmenTel telecommunication company (branded as Beeline) helps increase computer literacy in kids attending Naghashyan Children’s Support Center, the company’s press office reported.
The cooperation between Beeline and Naghashyan Center has been ongoing as the company sees it important to help children and adolescents improve their lives for the better, general director of Beeline Armenia Andrey Pyatakhin said.
The support from Beeline will make education more efficient through use of digital technologies, Pyatakhin said.
Director of Naghashyan Children’s Support Center Mihran Mirijanyan thanked the company for the support provided to educational programs. The students of the center get a chance to attend foreign experts’ Skype lessons via the connection from the company, Mirijanyan said. The Internet access is also used to contact parents or relatives that are outside the country, he added.
In 2012-2013 provided support in the center improvement works and gave broadband Internet access to students of “Naghashyan”.
ArmenTel is owned fully by Russian VimpelCom. It provides fixed and mobile telephony services and high speed Internet. -0-
