ArmenTel telecom cuts prices of its fixed telephony services
YEREVAN, September 1. / ARKA /. Armenia’s ArmenTel telecom (trading as Beeline) has cut prices of its fixed telephony services from the 1st of September.
Under a July 29 decision of Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), the telecom is to charge 5 drams (including VAT) for one minute of all local outgoing calls within Armenia and to Nagorno-Karabakh after a subscriber uses the package of free 360 minutes of conversation.
Until now the Russian-owned telecom charged individual customers 20 drams per minute during the day, while corporate customers were charged 24 drams. Individuals paid 14 drams for a night time minute and corporate clients - 16.8 drams.
New rates have been automatically applied to all subscribers of Beeline’s fixed telephony in Armenia.
According to another decision of the PSRC from the 1st of July, starting from 2015 free minutes will apply in respect of long-distance calls as well.
ArmenTel is a subsidiary of Russian VimpelCom. It provides fixed and mobile telephony services as well as high-speed Internet. ($ 1 - 411.23 drams). -0-
