Beeline and child development foundation summarize results of ‘learning together’ project in Armenia
YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. ArmenTel (trading as Beeline) and Child Development Foundation have summarized the results of implementation of ‘Learning Together’ project in Armenia, the telecommunication company’s press office reports. “The project targeted young people with special needs aged fr om 16 to 25 and was aimed at development of their social skills and creativity and simplify their integration in society,” the company says in its press release. Some 20 young people attended a specialized center twice a week, received professional services from teachers and psychologists and identified their preferences and abilities, which will help them to get self-assurance. Their parents received recommendations and learned how to use the abilities of the center's young attendees. “Beeline help children and young people to improve their lives,” CEO of Beeline in Armenia Andrey Pyatakhin was quoted by the press office as saying. “Since children get a chance to visit sites of history and to see culture values and ancient historical legacy here, we decided to visit Geghard and summarize the results of the project here.” Lusine Simonyan, director of the Child Development Foundation, said that the project allows children and young people to identify their preferences and to establish ties with employers in the future. “People with special needs has a right to contribute to various areas and to be useful to the society,” she said. 'Learning Together' project was launched in October 2014. Many events were held as part of this project. Among these events was a visit to Mayri handicraft center, wh ere children with special needs learn arts for using these skills for their employment.
