Beeline conducts learning course for Armenian participants of Eurasia Mobile Challenge
YEREVAN, October. 10. /ARKA/. ArmenTel telecom operator (trading as Beeline) conducted a training course for participants of the Armenian stage of VimpelCom’s international competition Eurasia Mobile Challenge.
The company said more than 120 participants from 40 teams, which have registered for participation in the competition, were provided with the opportunity to present their projects to experts.
The lectures were delivered by local and international information technology experts, including Amir Tarigpeyma, who spoke on Lean Start-up Methodology, as well as Carlos Fabian Guhl who spoke on Fundraising topic.
Anna Boyko from VimpelCom said the competition aims to encourage young people to realize their ideas. According to Artashes Vadanyan, the head of Microsoft Innovation Center in Armenia, such contests provide great opportunities to young people to improve their business models.
Eurasia Mobile Challenge is held by VimpelCom group of companies as part of a global strategy called Make Your Mark, designed for young people who majored in technical sciences and humanities, entrepreneurs and startups who can offer a concept or a ready prototype solution.
The winners of the first three places will receive cash prizes of $20,000, $15,000 and $10,000 respectively, as well as a fully paid trip to Barcelona in Spain, the host city of Global Mobile Challenge finale. Registration deadline is until 15 October 2016.
The Armenian partners of the competition are the Microsoft Innovation Center, Technology Development Center, IBM Center of Innovative Solutions, Granatus Ventures and Armenia Startup Cup.
