Beeline launches 4G network in Yerevan
YEREVAN, September 7. / ARKA /. ArmenTel telecom operator (trading as Beeline) has announced today the pilot-commercial launch of the 4G/LTE mobile network in central districts of Yerevan.
According to an ArmenTel press release, the company has installed in the capital seventy 4G standard base stations and will raise their number to 150 before the end of the year. The new network offers mobile Internet of up to 60 MB/s speed.
The company said its specialists have done considerable work to upgrade the network having installed the most modern equipment to provide subscribers with higher quality services.
"Technology goes forward and, Beeline as the largest telecommunications operator in Armenia, is pleased to report that all its mobile Internet services will now be even faster, easier and more convenient thanks to 4G network standard," ArmenTel CEO Andrei Pyatakhin was quoted as saying.
"The creation of the modern network and provision of high-speed Internet to hundreds of thousands of our subscribers is a great challenge and a great responsibility. However, our task is the development of technology and commitment to provide customers with the best in quality services", ArmenTel technical director Maxim Levin said.
In order to take advantage of the new network subscribers need to have a smartphone tablet or USB-modem that supports 4G/LTE network, with installed USIM-card. -0-
