D-Link names ArmenTel as number one customer-centric ICT company in Armenia
YEREVAN, May 26. / ARKA /. Taiwanese D-Link, one of the world's largest manufacturers of computer networking equipment, has awarded a letter of commendation to ArmenTel telecom (trading as Beeline) for being number one customer-centric ICT company in Armenia.
D-Link vice-president Thomas Huang was quoted as saying in an ArmenTel news release that for years Beeline has been consistently introducing innovative technologies with the aim of providing new and high-quality services. Huand said D-Link appreciates highly ArmenTel’s approach to the development of business.
ArmenTel CEO Andrei Pyatakhin said, "In order to continue to provide our customers with high quality, simple and convenient services, Beeline will continue cooperation with D-Link in the acquisition of modern high-quality network equipment."
D-Link and Beeline representatives were said to have discussed the details of their cooperation, plans for further modernization of Beeline’s network, introduction of new technologies and new equipment.
Beeline and D-Link launched full cooperation in 2008, when D-Link started supplying network equipment for ArmenTel to build the ADSL network, which was used to launch Hi-Line Internet access service, which is used by the bulk of subscribers now to broadband Internet in the country.
Today, D-Link and Beeline cooperate in the development of FTTB technology. Beeline network uses now about 5 thousand pieces of D-Link network equipment.
D-Link founded in 1986 in Taiwan runs more than 90 regional offices. The company currently employs more than 4,000 people around the world.
ArmenTel is a full subsidiary of VimpelCom. It provides fixed and mobile telephony as well as high-speed Internet.-0-
