Digithon Beeline Armenia-2017 to reveal innovative ways of development
YEREVAN, June 2. /ARKA/. Armenian telecommunication operator ArmenTel (trading as Beeline) said today that as part of the second annual Digithon Beeline Armenia-2017 the employees of various departments of the company developed prototypes of innovative digital products and services.
Patterned from Hackathon, the event lasted 24 hours, involving five teams from the company, who competed in creating innovative applications and services for businesses and clients. Digital Pirates team, which developed the Bottle Letter project, was named the winner.
ArmenTel CEO Andrei Pyatakhin said the company organized Digithon for the second year in a row to attract the most active of its employees for the development of innovative applications, services and products both for customers and businesses.
"Having a huge amount of knowledge about the needs and desires of customers, the development of the market and technologies, our employees gather in teams and together create real prototypes of applications of products and services that will help make our service more innovative and therefore easier and more convenient for our subscribers," said Pyatakhin.
The jury and moderators of Digithon comprised top managers of the company, and an external independent expert, who this year was Gevorg Safaryan, the founder of Earlyone start-up.
The winning team will represent the country at an intra-corporate Eurasian Digithon, which will be held in July 2017 in Armenia, the country that won last year's Eurasian Digithon.
