Electronic notary system to be launched in Armenia
YEREVAN, October 5. /ARKA/. On Tuesday, Armenia’s National Assembly gave its preliminary approval to amendments to the law on notary services and a number of related laws.
Arprine Hovhannisyan, justice minister, said that the amendments imply introduction of the one window system in notary services, particularly electronic notary system, which will make it possible to use electronic signatures.
In her words, the amendments also imply introduction of electronic list of proxy authorization documents, which will reduce forgery risks.
Electronic books of wills will be issued as well, and heritage-related procedures will be simplified and automated.
Hovhannisyan also said that requirements to notary officers will be toughened and their responsibility enhances to improve the quality notary services.
They will be obliged to pay compensations foe the damage inflicted by negligence. ---0---
