ICT companies to help improve technological education in Armenia
YEREVAN, October 12. / ARKA /. Armenia’s education and science minister Levon Mkrtchyan and Armen Baldryan, the head of the Union of ICT Employers, signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding in the field of education.
The parties agreed to take measures to improve the quality of education in the field of information and communication in Armenia’s educational institutions, as well as to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and employers, and increase the competitiveness of Armenia by providing quality education.
"It is particularly important to cooperate in strengthening the culture of technological education and introduction of appropriate formats. This is one of those rare areas where we were able to identify labor market needs. In the future, a comprehensive program will be developed in the field of natural and computer sciences. We hope that this cooperation will continue ", Mkrtchyan was quoted as saying in a press release.
Armen Baldryan added: "We support the fundamental, high-quality education, and all our steps will be directed to this. I am confident that these steps will eventually lead to big changes also in the field of technological education, as the most important for employers is well-educated, professional staff."
