Luys foundation to develop Living Art industry in Giumry of Armenia
YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. Luys educational foundation intends to develop a new IT industry, Living Art, in Giumry of Armenia, in cooperation with the French ‘Le Cube’ digital art center, executive director of the foundation Jacqueline Karaaslanyan told a press conference Friday.
Living Art is a new IT industry combining art and the modern technologies.
According to Karaaslanyan, Giumry has both quite a big IT community and artists and can become a global Living Art center.
The first step is to create a special website that will serve as a platform for IT specialists and artists to discuss their projects.
A prominent Living Art French producer Florian Aziosmanov will hold master classes in Giumry in July. The producer said factors ensuring economic development have substantially changed in the modern world. Creative potential of people became very important, he said.
According to Aziosmanov, the most promising option for Giumry could be Living Jewelry as jewelry industry is very developed in Armenia. Aziosmanov said he would present his idea of an adornment with Jokonda of Leonardo da Vinci in Giumry.
The Luys (Light) foundation was set up in April 2008 under auspices of the Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan who is the chairman of the foundation’s trustees board. The aim of the foundation is to provide financial support to Armenian students fro studying in leading higher schools abroad. The foundation has already paid for education of hundreds of students over the several years of its existence. –0--
