Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia will recruit students for upcoming internship programs
YEREVAN, October 1. / ARKA /. Microsoft Innovation Center said it has been participating in DigiTec Expo already for four years presenting interesting programs and creative booth every year. This year the center plans to introduce its training and internship programs to visitors and will conduct an interactive test with the interested ones.
The participants who successfully pass the test, will be involved in the upcoming internship programs, after which they may be hired by leading IT companies of Armenia. MIC Armenia has organized internship programs with companies like Monitis, PicsArt, Sourcio, Praemium Armenia, Betconstruct, Totogaming and Volomobile. The program involved more than 350 students. 85% of them were hired by the companies after the program.
In addition, the center anticipates various interesting surprises both for children and young visitors. The booth visitors will be able to win free participation in one of the training courses and various valuable prizes through different competitions. Meanwhile, cloudy selfie is designed for all visitor irrespective of their age.
The Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia (MIC Armenia) was founded in May of 2011 and joined the global network of MIC’s to support local IT communities to expand, strengthen innovation and improve competitiveness. MIC Armenia is a public-private partnership project that combines resources of numerous partners.
The founders are Microsoft, USAID, Government of Armenia, and Enterprise Incubator Foundation. The activities of MIC Armenia focus on skill development, stimulation of innovative thinking and development of product/service prototypes that can be demanded in local and international markets.
The 11th DigiTec Expo 2015 is slated for October 2-4 in Yerevan. It will be bring together 170 IT companies form 10 countries. The event is organized by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).-0-
