More than 150 companies showcasing their products at DigiTec 2017 in Yerevan
YEREVAN, September 29. /ARKA/. More than 150 ICT companies from 20 countries, including China, Japan, India, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Russia, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and others are showcasing their products and services at the 13th DigiTec-2017 technology exhibition that kicked off today in the Armenian capital Yerevan and will run through September 30.
Armenia’s minister of transport, communications and information technology Vahan Martirosyan stated at the opening of the exhibition that it is expanding every year, presenting new solutions and technologies, already in the form of finished products.
Local and foreign IT companies such as Joomag, Nextury Ventures- Ilja Laurs, UFAR, ARPA, Benivo-Dmitry Brodsky, Arnaud Belhamou and others will conduct seminars on the sidelines of this event.
To make it easier for visitors to navigate through the exhibition, a special mobile application DigiTec Expo has been launched. The application allows also scheduling meetings and getting information about companies.
The DigiTec exhibition will host also a stage of the national robotics championship, during which the participants will demonstrate their engineering skills, as well as Armenia’s 3D modeling competition.
Organizers expect about 70 thousand people to visit the exhibition this year. The event is supported by the government of Armenia. The platinum sponsor is the Ucom telecom operator.
DigiTec was first held in 2005 by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE). The aim of the DigiTec is to create an atmosphere of cooperation between ICT companies and other sectors of the economy. -0-
