Orange Armenia claims to smartphonize Armenia – new offer from company
YEREVAN, August 21. /ARKA/. Orange Armenia mobile operator has announced a new promotional offer, “Smartphonization of Armenia” with an opportunity for anyone to replace his old but still functioning mobile phone with a smartphone at any Orange Armenia store, head of communication and branding at Orange Armenia Aram Mkrtchyan told reporters on Wednesday.
Within the offer anyone can get a 50% discount for an Alcatel Pixi 2 and pay 29,900 drams only for the smartphone if subscribing to any prepaid tariff plan or in case of an Artsiv (Eagle) monthly subscription.
No limitations are set in terms of year of manufacturing or model of the phone, says the report.
Apart from the discount, prepaid subscribers will get a monthly of 100 megabyte of mobile Internet during a year, Mkrtchyan said.
If subscribed to Dolphin, Butterfly or Panther postpaid tariff plans worth 4,000 and more for 24 months, customers will get an Alcatel tablet as a present.
According to the head of communication and branding, it is an unprecedented offer for the Armenian market that enables the company providing wide access to smartphones among the population.
“In fact, smartphone won’t be a luxury item anymore”, Mkrtchyan said.
The old phones will be restored and sold outside Armenia, in countries of Orange’s presence with lower purchasing power, Mkrtchyan said. The offer is valid till September 30.
