Other 61,064 socially unsecured families in Armenia to receive digital TV decoders
YEREVAN, May 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government decided Thursday to provide additional 61,064 TV decoders (digital receivers) to socially unsecured families.
In November 2015, Armenia completed transition from analogous to digital broadcasting in DVB-T2 mode in compliance with Geneva 2006 international agreement.
The government, however, has decided to allow analogous broadcasting in the country’s territory until all socially unsecured families are provided with free decoders.
Decoders will be provided also to families of fallen servicemen as well as to single pensioners.
As many as 46,494 families have already received decoders. --0----
