Regional technology IBM Curam excellence center for social services to be established in Armenia
YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. Last Friday the government of Armenia approved the establishment of the regional technology excellence center based on IBM Curam program for full lifecycle support for managing health and social programs from needs to outcomes.
According to Labor and Social Affairs Minister Artem Asatryan, the establishment of the center is prompted by Armenia's transition to the single electronic platform of social services management.
"This means that the services will be provided in a single technological environment that will ensure their compatibility for a single database", Asatryan said.
He said based on these objectives the government of Armenia in cooperation with the US government signed a memorandum of cooperation with IBM for the creation of the center.
"This will not only create an opportunity for the formation of the future automated public services system management, but also for extension of its expertise to other countries", Asatryan said. -0-
