Rostelecom has provided boarding school in Yerevan with IP television
YEREVAN, February 4. /ARKA/. Rostelecom has provided the boarding school #2 in Nubarashen district in Yerevan with IP television, the telecommunication company’s press office reported on Wednesday.
The boarding school students aged from 6 to 18 will enjoy about 150 music, sport, news and entertainment TV channels.
“We attach importance to provision of high-quality services not only to all clients, but also to child custody centers as part of social responsibility,” said CEO of GNC-ALFA CJSC and Rostelecom in Armenia Hayk Faramazyan. “We have been supporting Nubarashen boarding school #2 since 2013, and this support is consistent in nature.”
In June 2013, Rostelecom installed an internal computer network in the boarding school’s territory and is providing free Internet access to the school’s classrooms and computer hall.
GNC-ALFA, Rostelecom’s Armneian subsidiary, began promotion and sale of broadband Internet, IP-TV and a new generation of IP-telephony in Armenia under the brand of Rostelecom from 2012 December.
The company’s fiber-optic network covers 80% of the territory of Armenia, extending to more about 3000 km. The network is connected to the main regional backbones and major traffic exchange sites, as well as international channels via Georgia and Iran.
