Rostelecom in Armenia organized a tour of Museum of Russian Art for children from Nagashyan Home children care center
YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. Rostelecom in Armenia provided the children from Nagashyan Home children care center the opportunity to make a tour of the Museum of Russian Art in Yerevan. The telecom operator’s press service said the children took part in a program called "Art: Types, Genres, Techniques and Guess the Picture’, which was a joint project of the company and the museum.
The educational program of Rostelecom and the Museum of Russian Art called "Art for All" started in Yerevan at the end of 2016. It is designed for inmates of orphanages and care centers, as well as for children with disabilities and developmental delays aged 8-15.
Rostelecom in Armenia CEO Hayk Faramazyan noted that children should begin communicating with art from a small age. "Each company should assist such programs, so that they become closer to the children," Faramazyan said.
The educational programs of the Museum of Russian Art in Yerevan were developed by museum workers, psychologists and art historians. Their main purpose is to make perception of art by children more interactive and accessible.
The programs are aimed at developing children's attention, logical thinking, knowledge about art and develop a corresponding vocabulary, promote perception of the beautiful and aesthetic feelings.
In connection with the International Day of Museums in 2016 May Rostelecom provided the Museum of Russian Art with free WiFi. In the future, the company plans to expand the range of joint programs.
The Nagashyan Home children care center was established in 2012 under the patronage of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Girls aged 8-18 live in the center.
