Rostelecom in Armenia secures high-speed internet for Orran charity center in Vanadzor
YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Rostelecom in Armenia said today it has provided the children from Orran charitable organization in Armenia’s third largest town of Vanadzor with high-speed Internet.
Rostelecom in Armenia CEO Hay Faramazyan is quoted as saying in a company’s press release that technology should be available to everyone, especially the children attending these centers.
"I am sure that we will expand the assistance to Orran to educate and train a new generation of children," - he said.
Charitable organization Orran was founded in 2000. The center now supports more than 270 children and 80 elderly people in Yerevan and Vanadzor.
GNC-ALFA, Rostelecom’s Armenian subsidiary, began promotion and sale of broadband Internet, IP-TV and a new generation of IP-telephony in Armenia under the brand of Rostelecom from 2012 December.
The company’s fiber-optic network covers 80% of the territory of Armenia, extending to more about 3000 km. The network is connected to the main regional backbones and major traffic exchange sites, as well as international channels via Georgia and Iran.
