Rostelecom not to block Russian websites from black books in Armenia
YEREVAN, September 22./ARKA/. Rostelecom has no intention to block Russian websites from black books in Armenia, Alexey Rogdev, chief of division in charge of relations with Internet providers, told journalists on Monday.
Armenian Internet users faced some difficulties in downloading the websites included in black books in Russia.
The list of the prohibited websites includes pages with child pornography, drug usage and suicide propaganda etc.
If hosting provider or the website owner doesn’t remove the prohibited information, then the entire resource is inserted in the list. Three months are given for appealing against the decision in court.
“We have found a solution – it is already working in a test mode and GNC-Alfa traffic in Armenia and our other international partners from the beginning of the summer and is not blocked,” Rogdev said.
He said that the system is planned to be commercialized in November 2014.
