Rostelecom offers six months of free Over the Top (OTT) television service to Armenian subscribers
YEREVAN, November 17. /ARKA/. Rostelecom, one of the biggest telecommunications companies in Russia and Europe, presented today a new Over the Top (OTT) television service to its Armenian subscribers, launching together with Vega network of stores selling electronic equipment a joint campaign for the telecom's subscribers who will receive 6 months of free subscription to Over the Top TV.
Over The Top TV is a completely new proposal at the Armenian market, enabling subscribers to use the services of digital television, regardless of the region and provider.
"The new service from Rostelecom can cover the whole territory of Armenia. There are no restrictions for the use of the service: one needs only to be connected to Internet with 2.5 Mb/s speed and more. The provider can be any other operator, «the company's commercial director Sedrak Ghushchyan said.
The commercial director of Vega Group Arthur Chobanyan said when a customer buys electronic equipment from Vega stores worth 149,000 drams and more he/she will receive free Smart box device, as well as 6 months of free subscription to OTT TV service that will be paid by Vega. If the customer wishes to continue using the service he/she only needs to replenish their accounts. The service allows subscribers to enjoy all the major services provided by IP TV launched recently by Rostelecom in Armenia.
