Software development and microelectronics classed to be introduced in Armenian high schools
YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. A meeting presided over by Armenia’s premier Hovik Abrahamyan was held in Yerevan on Wednesday to discuss development of information and telecommunication technologies, the government press office reported.
The premier confirmed readiness to provide government support for development of the sector, preparation of highly skilled specialists and implementation of new programs.
A program is planned to launch software development, microelectronics and telecommunication classes in high schools, says the report. School laboratories will be equipped and teachers will be delivered training. Private companies expressed willingness to make capital investments in the program.
The premier welcomed the program and once again said development of information and telecommunication technologies is a government priority. –0--
