Some 70% of Armenians do not use smartphones
YEREVAN, May 19. / ARKA /. According to the findings of a study conducted by Vimpelcom Ltd, some 70% of Armenian citizens do not use smartphones. This was announced today by Andrei Chukaev, a senior official from the company. He said this means that the company has still a huge potential to increase sale of smartphones.
According to ArmenTel telecom, sales of smartphones at its offices have increased by 10% over the last 10 months. Smartphones accounted for 87% of the company’s sales in 2015 April, up from 45% in March.
Armentel is owned by Vimpelcom. It provides fixed and mobile telephony as well as high-speed Internet.-0-
