State commission for coordinating events dedicated to centenary of Armenian Genocide presents its official website
YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. The state commission set up for coordinating events dedicated to the centenary of Armenian Genocide has launched its official website armeniangenocide100.org.
The presentation of the website took place Friday in Yerevan. «The website is available from today in Armenian, Russian and English languages,» Harutyun Berberyan, one of the authors of the project, told journalists.
In his words, there are sections on the website that provide information about Armenian Genocide and the cultural genocide.
In the section 'Tell Your Story' every Armenian, wherever he/she is, may post the story his /her predecessors who survived the massacre.
«There is also information about the countries that have supported Armenia and recognized the fact of the Armenian genocide,» Berberyan said.
Besides, visitors will see video storage and photo storage as well as books and visual materials related to the genocide in the new Internet resource.
Armenian Genocide was the first genocide committed in XX century. Turkey denies the accusation of massacres and the killing of one and a half million of civilian Armenians during World War I.
The fact of the Armenian genocide is recognized by many countries, particularly by Uruguay, Russia, France, Lithuania, most of the U.S. states, as well as by the parliaments of Greece, Cyprus, Argentina, Belgium, Wales, National Council of Switzerland, Common House of Canada, the Seym of Poland and lower house of Italian parliament. --0--
