Three mobile operators pay 5.8 bln drams to the budget in taxes in Armenia in Q1
YEREVAN, May 5. /ARKA/. The three mobile companies operating in Armenia’s market today paid a total of 5.8 billion drams to the government budget in taxes in January-March this year, as compared to 6.5 billion drams in the same period of 2014, the State Revenues Committee reported.
Of this, over 5.3 billion drams were collected by tax bodies and 590.19 million drams by customs authorities, according to the report.
ArmenTel (trading as Beeline) alone paid4.2 billion drams to the state budget in January-March 2015 (9th biggest in the taxpayers’ list). Orange Armenia paid 861 million drams to the budget in the period (36th in the list) and VivaCell-MTS (K-Telecom CJSC) paid a total of 823.2 million drams in the period (39th).
In total, top 1,000 tax payers paid over 152.3 billion drams to the state budget in January-March this year, as compared to 154.3 billion drams in the same period of 2014, a 1.3% reduction.
The taxpayers list is topped by Gazprom Armenia having paid about 15 billion drams in taxes to the budget in the reporting period, as compared to about 17.7 billion drams in January-March 2014.
ArmenTel is owned fully by Russian VimpelCom. It provides fixed and mobile telephony and high-speed Internet.
