Ucom launches 4g+ technology in Armenia
YEREVAN, September 26. /ARKA/. Armenian telecom operator Ucom has launched today the latest 4G + technology from Ericsson.
Ucom CEO Hayk Yesayan said the new technology allows subscribers to enjoy a ‘wonderful’ connection to broadband Internet at speeds up to 250 Mbit /s.
According to him, the introduction of the new network was preceded by the installment of the latest multi-standard radio equipment of Ericsson Radio System with integrated antennas (AIR) in Yerevan.
Hayk Yesayan said also the company will introduce a set of Ericsson Expert Analytics software, which will allow Ucom to improve customer service, to predict their satisfaction and automatically take action within the system to improve it.
Ucom had earlier launched advanced technologies, which are used in such mature telecom markets as North America, Korea, Japan, some parts of China, and, of course, some European countries.
This project is a joint effort with Ericsson Nikola Tesla, whose president Gordana Kovacevic said: "We are proud to bring to Armenia ultra-modern advanced LTE technology together with Ucom. It is an important step for us in terms of our presence here and we look forward to continuing support for the further development of the mobile industry in Armenia."
Ericsson is present on all LTE markets with high traffic, including the US, Japan and South Korea. It also supplies LTE equipment to 9 of the 10 largest mobile operators in the world (CMCC, Verizon, AT & T, CT China, Softbank, Sprint, T-Mobile, KDDI, SKT). -0-
