Ucom presents new lower roaming tariffs across EEU

YEREVAN, May 17. /ARKA/. Armenian telecommunications operator Ucom has unveiled today new lower tariffs for Armenian users to make calls while roaming across the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) that comprises also Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

"The Eurasian roaming zone has already come into force. Henceforth, all subscribers in this roaming zone will be able to take advantage of new reduced tariffs," the company said in a press release.

From now on, the cost of incoming calls, calls to Armenia and local calls in the Eurasian roaming zone will be 250 drams per minute, while the cost of international calls will be 2,200 drams per minute. With regard to SMS-messages, they will be available at a price of 100 drams per message, and the mobile Internet – at 250 drams per one MB.

The company noted that the current offer for roaming in Russian MegaFon network will remain unchanged.

Ucom (Universal Communications) was founded in 2007. It is engaged in providing telecommunications services. With assistance from Ericsson, the company created a broadband access network, providing Internet services, IP-TV and fixed telephony.  In 2015 September it acquired Orange Armenia, a subsidiary of France Telecom.-0-
