UITE and Ucom continue accepting applications for participation in open game contest
YEREVAN, May 24. /ARKA/. The Union of Information Technology Companies (UITE) and Ucom Company invite young developers of computer and mobile games to apply for participation in the Open Game contest before the launch of the second round, which is scheduled for July, they say in a joint press release.
The contest is conducted for two age categories - under 18 and above 18.
On May 21, the first round of the 6th annual contest was held. Its participants presented their projects to jurors and were advised how to develop their games.
The jury this year was made of specialists at Frismos, Plexonic, Triada, ViViFi, Underwater Apps, X-Tech, UITE, PicsArt, and Ucom companies.
This year contenders received an opportunity to use also Sratch language, which is used by 2,000 Armenian school students for modeling robots.
The prize fund of the contest is AMD 2 million. Recognition gifts, including technical devises, are implied as well.

The aim of the Open Game is to create favorable atmosphere for development of game industry, to find and encourage promising young people.
Since 2011, the contest has been organized by joint efforts of the UITE and Orange Armenia (Ucom at present).
This is the second year Huawei is the contest’s partner. --0----
