UITE to hold first robotics competition for school students
YEREVAN, April 11. / ARKA /. The Armenian Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE ) said today it will hold the first robotics competition for school students as a follow up to its previous program called ‘Robotics Begins at School” which was initiated by it in 2013 in cooperation with mobile operator VivaCell-MTS, Cronimet charitable foundation and World Vision Armenia and Counterpart International Armenia organizations.
The main task will be to create robots that will be able to walk along a fixed line and through the maze. To participate in the contest one should register until April 30 at http://www.armrobotics.am/arm/linecompetition/register.

The first open championship of robotics was held in Armenia in 2008 attracting 11 teams from Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Iran.
This year’s contest consists of several categories: Line Tracking, Competition of Robots Recognizing Objects by Color and Size, Marble Crossing and Minesweeper Robots.
This year the contest is being organized by UITE in cooperation with mobile operator VivaCell-MTS and the technical support of Artin Varuzhan company. -0-
