UITE to launch education program for dismissed servicemen
YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. The Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) has initiated a new program aimed at education and employment of those citizens who have already completed their service in Armenia’s army, the press service of the union reported on Wednesday.
Classes in Yerevan will begin on July 15, and the program will be launched in September or October. The program’s duration is six months. Teams will be made up of 15 people.
Lessons will be conducted in the union’s 130 engineering laboratories in schools and education centers in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
Scratch, JavaScript and robotics curricula are included in the program. Well-performing students will be employed upon completion of the classes.
To be enrolled for the program, one should register at the local military registration and enlistment office with his passport and military service completion evidence and also at the regional employment center as unemployed or jobseeker. He should inform the agency’s officers about his intention to obtain a job and get in touch with the UITE program coordinator.
The program is being implemented under the auspices of the Armenian labor and social affairs ministry and military registration and enlistment office.
The UITE was established in 2000 to protect economic interests of the information technology industry’s companies. --0---
