Veon Armenia and world Vision Armenia complete “safety of children online" project
YEREVAN, December 8. /ARKA/. Veon Armenia telecommunication company (trading as Beeline) and World Vision Armenia announced today the end of a joint project "Safety of Children Online", which was held in Yerevan, Kapan and Talin.
The project consisted of 30 lessons involving 600 schoolchildren and their parents who were provided with knowledge and skills about safe use of the Internet.
"We are happy that people in Armenia, especially children, learn how to use the Internet to solve their everyday problems and do it safely. As an Internet provider, we are interested in ensuring people's safety on the Internet, and training is the best way to achieve this,’ said Veon Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.
"I am happy that the children and their parents who have participated in the training have mastered the rules of correct use of the Internet and can avoid dangers. World Vision Armenia attaches great importance to this partnership with Beeline, which allows us to convey such important information to our children living in communities," World Vision Armenia head Zhirayr Edilyan said.
At the end of the final event, an exhibition of posters titled "Safe Internet» and a quiz "Safe Internet" was organized.
