Veon Armenia to offer fixed internet with speeds up to 100 mb/s

YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Veon Armenia telecommunications company (trading as Beeline in Armenia) announced today the launch of what it called ‘unprecedented’ modernization of fixed infrastructure in Yerevan.  

The company said in a press release that it will upgrade the fixed network in the capital throughout 2019, providing customers with access to VDSL-Internet and improving the quality of urban telephone communication.

The company said the residents of Kilikia borough in Yerevan are the first to get access to new technologies. Here the company officially announced the launch of the project and awarded one of its loyal subscribers a one-year subscription to the new Beeline VDSL-Internet.

Veon Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin said ten years ago Beeline made a revolution in the Armenian Internet market by providing the Internet via ADSL technology. According to him, the then unimaginable 1 megabit speed became a reality, hundreds of thousands of families became subscribers of the company having forgotten what dial-up was.

"Today we announce the launch of the project, which we believe will repeat our success, because  every home will have an Internet that will be 10-20 times faster, and its cost will remain the same," Pyatakhin said.

For access to high-speed Beeline Internet residents can, connect to the COMBO 2, COMBO 3 and COMBO 4 service packages with the monthly fee of 5990 drams per month and higher. Packages include unlimited calls within the Beeline network, up to 200 minutes of calls to other mobile networks in Armenia, up to 10 GB of high-speed 4G Internet, 350 SMS, fixed Internet with speeds up to 100 Mb/s. COMBO 3 and COMBO 4 packages offer also fixed telephony, while COMBO 4 offers up to 138 TV channels.
