VivaCell-MTS acquires assets of Armenia’s ADC Company
YEREVAN, May 12. /ARKA/. VivaCell-MTS (MTS Armenia CJSC), an Armenian telecommunication operator, has acquired assets of the ADC (Armenian Datacom Company), the company’s press office reported on Friday.
Assets have been purchased through an open auction in accordance with the procedure specified in the bankruptcy law.
“The decision to buy ADC assets was prompted by the necessity of expansion of VivaCell-MTS telecommunication network’s bandwidth capacity, and this will have a positive effect on the quality of the services provided through mobile communication,” the press release says.
ADC current customers will be allowed to use the provided services o the same conditions. Services will be provided in an uninterrupted mode.
After completion of all the purchase procedures VivaCell-MTS will significantly expand the range and will keep improving the quality of services.
ADC (Armenian Datacom Company) Armenian-Norwegian joint company, established in 2006, provides connection to the fast broadband fiber-optic internet and data transmission services.
VivaCell-MTS (K-Telecom CJSC), mobile telecommunication company, started operating in Armenia in 2005.
The company’s activity embraces the entire territory of Armenia.
Mobile Telesystems (MTS), the largest mobile telecommunication operator in Russia and the CIS, holds 80% of the company’s shares, and the remaining 20% belong to Lebanese Fattouch Group. ($1 – AMD 484.44). ---0---
