Winner in Rostelecom's project for students in Armenia already known
YEREVAN, July 20. /ARKA/. Rostelecom in Armenia has announced the results of a contest held as part of 'New Opportunities for Students' project to choose a student for training and probable employment at the telecommunication company, the press office of Rostelecom reported on Tuesday.
As many as 20 students from Armenian universities were competing for this opportunity throughout one month – they were attending interactive classes with participation of the company's specialists.
It became known on Tuesday that Lilit Grigoryan, a fourth-year student at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, has been chosen. She will attend paid three-month training at
Rostelecom, and if she performs well, she will be employed by the company.
Hayk Faramazyan, CEO of Rostelecom in Armenia, expressed confidence that the knowledge obtained here will help students to build their future careers.
He said that thanks to this project students will become familiar with essential corporate management in large companies and will get self-confidence.
Faramazyan said that the last year's participants of the project already work at different divisions of the
company.
The project is already in its third year.
GNC-ALFA CJSC, Armenian subsidiary of Russia’s Rostelecom, started selling telecommunication services in December 2012 under Rostelecom brand. In late 2012, it offered super-speed Internet as well as IP television and telephony services to clients.
The company’s fiber optic network covers 80% of Armenia’s territory stretching 2,500 kilometers across the country.
The company has built a backbone fiber optic cable from Iran, as well as two outputs through Georgia. --0----
