Yerevan to host first international blockchain forum
YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. On April 22 Armenian capital Yerevan will host the first international Armenian Blockchain Forum with blockchain experts from 20 countries expected to take part in it.
The Armenian Blockchain Forum aims to create favorable conditions for the development of technology companies in the country. Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Emil Tarasyan said on Wednesday that blockchain technologies are becoming more important day by day, as their influence is felt almost everywhere.
According to him, the Armenian Blockchain Forum will reveal the problems and risks in this area, as well as enable a better knowledge of the possibilities stemming from the use of blockchain technologies.
The Armenian Blockchain Forum will consist of three sections, including a plenary session, where discussions will be held on the future of blockchain technologies and Initial Coin Offering (ICO) projects. The plenary session will look into the international experience in the use of blockchain technologies.
The third section will choose 15 best startups from different countries (including 2-3 from Armenia) which have passed through a rigorous expert selection. They will have the opportunity to present their project to professional investors and receive financing.
In addition, the forum participants will be given the opportunity to negotiate in the b2b format.
As part of the forum for the first time in Armenia, the Roadshow ICO will be held for companies, with 30 investors form 20 countries having confirmed their participation, including Armenia, USA, Ireland, China, Switzerland, Ukraine, Georgia, Canada, Hong Kong , and others.
The main session of the forum "Struggle of technological platforms" will involve the creators of the most popular professional solutions - Hyperledger, Ethereum and NEM. -0-
