
Armenian-indian educational center in it sphere will operate in armenia from 2010

YEREVAN, December 16. /ARKA/. Armenian-Indian educational center in IT sphere will start operating from 2010. “In Armenia and India IT sphere is well-developed which is one of the sectors of economy and exchange of experience and knowledge, as well as implementation of joint programs will be useful for both countries”, said Nerses Yeritsyan, Minister of Economy of Armenia on Wednesday during the press-conference.
Purpose of the Center which will be established in the frames of the signed inter-governmental agreement on stimulation of mutual cooperation in IT sphere is formation of new flow of scientific workers, creation of job places, preparation of highly qualified specialists in IT sphere for the involvement of investments in Armenian market, as well as support of creation of calculation technologies of high productivity and development of spheres for joint studies. Yeritsyan said that the Center will be established in Yerevan State University and will be open and available for everybody.
The Center will create platform for the scientists and expand relations between university and business-environment. It will assist in the exchange of specialists for the implementation of the program. From technical point of view the Center will act like a big laboratory having such programs which will allow to solve scientific-research and applied tasks and create intellectual ownership through certification of programming results. Achal Kumar Malkhotra, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India in Armenia said that Government of India considers establishment of Superiority Center in Armenia very important.
“During the last 20 years India has registered serious growth and progress in IT sphere and this is a part of policy of Indian government”, he said. India is ready to become trust partner for Armenia in the issues of development and is intended to expand and strengthen mutual friendly relations between two countries. Malkhotra said that this project will be implemented in accordance with the planned schedule and Armenia has all pre-conditions for it. From the Armenian side responsible for the project will be “Incubator of Enterprises Fund” and from Indian side – Center of progressive calculation developments (C-DAC). Bagrat Yengibaryan, Director of “Incubator of Enterprises Fund” said that the Center will assist in the increase of professional level of specialists in IT sphere and attract new specialists.
“We plan to send the first eight Armenian specialists to India in January for trainings who will give lectures in future in the Center and will assist in preparing new specialists. “Three Indian specialists will be in Armenia for one year for supporting in the establishment of the Center”, said Yengibaryan. He said that they envisage mutual visits of Armenian and Indian researchers for the conduction of scientific-research works. “The center will be certified which will allow to solve issues of certification of specialists not only in Armenian but also regionally”, he said. The equipment of the Center will start in March 2010. “In September the trained Armenian specialists will come back to Armenia and if all the works will be finalized in the planned terms, Armenia will have fully operating Center”, said Yengibaryan. --0—
