Company “ArmenTel” announced about conducting action “Hi Line without barriers”

YEREVAN, November 17. /ARKA/. “CJSC “ArmenTel” (brand Beeline) launched new action for Armenian subscribers “Hi Line without barriers”, said Igor Klimko, General Director of the company. Hi-Line service is high-speed access to Internet by ADSL technology which allows to provide access through general telephone wires maintaining usage of simple fixed connection.

During the action which started today till December 31, 2009 connection to Hi Line will be free and the prices of modem will be available depending on the selected tariff plan. The clients who will be connected to tariff plans can obtain ADSL modems by more available prices. When connecting to tariff plan “Hi Line Unlimited 1024” the modem will be provided free-of-charge. Subscribers who chose “Hi Line Unlimited 512” can pay 4800 drams for the modem and subscribers connected to “Hi Line Unlimited 256” - 7200 drams. During the first three months after the connection, the client can obtain only unlimited tariff plan having high speed.

“This action stimulates new subscribers to get connected to “ArmenTel” network as the proposed conditions are very attractive”, said Klimko. Hi Line technologies have advantages compared with mobile technologies - 3G access to Internet. “We give selection opportunity to our subscribers and not only one service.

For mobile people who prefer to have Internet access anywhere, we suggest USB modem. In this case every user should understand that through mobile network the speed of data transfer will depend on several factors, particularly distance from base station, number of network users at that moment”, said Klimko. For people who need Internet at home or at workplace Hi Line is preferred, as it provides stable connection and the speed does not vary depending on network workload. Majority of proposals in the market do not envisage unlimited tariff with maximum speed. Another difference of proposals of the company is that “ArmenTel” signs annual contract with the client and has no penalties for early refusal from the service. “We are confident that the client can choose the operator and select the better one”, said Klimko.

CJSC “ArmenTel” provides this service in Armenia since 2007. From the beginning of 2009 the service Hi-Line is available not only in Yerevan but also in 18 cities of Armenia. ADSL modem is working as in GSM, as well as in 3G network. Data transfer in 2G network can reach 236 kilobit in a second which several times exceeds the speed of Dial-up connection. Technical possible speed of data transfer in 3G network reaches up to 7.5 Mbit/second. The company has 4 unlimited tariff packages for Hi-Line service - Hi-Line Unlimited 128 at 8 thousand drams monthly (including VAT), Hi-Line Unlimited 256 at 12 thousand drams, Hi-Line Unlimited 512 at 20 thousand drams monthly (including VAT) and Hi-Line Unlimited 1024 – 30 thousand drams monthly. --0--
