Robot to raise money for robotics technology groups at Аrmenia’s schools
YEREVAN, July 26. /ARKA/. The Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) and VivaCell-MTS mobile telecommunication operator announce contest for design and creation of a robot for raising money for creation of robotics technology groups at schools in Armenia.
According to the information available on ArmRobotics Open competition’s webpage, the robot will stand near the entrance to DigiTec Expo exhibition and will ask donations from participants and visitors.
The raised money will be spent for robots for school groups.
The robot should be beautiful, and should be dressed in national clothes. It is also required from the robot to accept and sort banknotes and coins and thank donors.
The designer of the robot must provide at least 1.5-year guarantee.
Cost of one robot must not be higher than AMD 250,000. The first ArmRobotics Open was held in Armenia in 2008. Eleven teams from Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and Iran competed in it.
In 2009 and 2010, five competitions were held: Computer Simulation (for university students), Line Tracking (for university students), the competition of robots identifying objects by color and size (without age restrictions),
Marble Crossing (for school students) and Field Engineer Robot (without age restrictions).
