Armenia aims to expand cooperation with Iran in IT sector
YEREVAN, October 12. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Minister of High Technology Industry Vahagn Khachatryan told Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zokhuri that Armenia aims to expand cooperation with Iran in the field of information technology.
Pointing to the already established reliable partnership between the two countries, the minister focused on the need to concretize further actions and investments in order to intensify interaction between the business circles of the two countries.
The ambassador, in turn, noted the importance of specifying projects and the timing of the implementation of the agreements reached. Zokhuri also suggested that the Armenian side take part in specialized exhibitions in Iran, and stressed the importance of mutual working visits between industry specialists, delegations, representatives of interuniversity and scientific structures.
The interlocutors touched upon the DigiWeek-2021 High Technologies Week scheduled for late October in Yerevan and the Digitec exhibition to be held as part of it. The Iranian side has already been invited to participate in this event, the ministry said.
The largest IT event in Armenia - DigiWeek will be held in Yerevan and Gyumri from October 27 to November 3. It will host the Digitec Exhibition and the Digi Tech Summit. Leading specialists and IT policymakers, heads of international companies, government officials, famous scientists from around the world are expected to participate in it. --0--
