Nokia and Ucom to sign cooperation agreement
YEREVAN, February 8. /ARKA/. Armenian telecom operator Ucom and Nokia are set to sign a cooperation agreement in the near future.
Hi-Tech Industry Ministry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan received Nokia today Vice President in charge of European mobile networks Petr Vukovic.
Ucom CEO Ralph Yirikian, co-founder of Galaxy Group of Companies and co-chairman of Ucom Board Artem Khachatryan were also present at the meeting.
The Minister highlighted the cooperation of Nokia and Ucom in the field of network modernization and service improvement, saying it will increase the availability of mobile communication, speed and data transmission capacity.
Petr Vukovic noted that he was glad to be in Armenia and to start the project, which will create new opportunities in terms of solving some problems and overcoming challenges in the competitive sphere.
Yirikian, in his turn, noted that all this is the result of almost a year of consistent work.
The Minister emphasized that this cooperation will bring positive changes in Armenia's telecommunication sector, contributing to the development of infrastructure.
