Armenia to launch the analogue of Russian Glonas navigation system
YEREVAN, October 9. /ARKA/. Armenia will launch an analogue of the Russian GLONASS navigation system. An agreement to that end was signed by Armenian company Locator and Russian Avangard on Friday in Yerevan on the margins of the second Eurasian Partnership forum in Yerevan.
The agreement is to regulate the joint activities of these two companies for adapting the SCADA system developed by Locator to the architecture of domestic operating processors to intellectualize the management of complex safety of industrial, transportation and energy facilities.
Also, a tripartite intent agreement was signed between Russian companies GLONASS, emergency response system operator ERA-GLONASS and Armenian EIA Engineering LLC.
The parties plan to deploy in Armenia an infrastructure that will ensure the functioning of devices and systems for calling emergency operational services, the purpose of which is similar to the Russian ERA-GLONASS system.
At the moment, more than one million vehicles equipped with such devices have been registered with the ERA-GLONASS system. --0--
