David Yan: Armenia can double its GDP through AI
YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) may help Armenia double its GDP, David Yan, founder of ABBYY and president of artificial intelligence company Newo.ai, said.
"According to numerous studies, in a few years there will be at least 300 million digital employees in the world. We calculated and realized that if 1% of these digital employees, i.e. 3 million, are created in Armenia, Armenia's GDP will double. While now it is about $13.19 billion, it will exceed $40 billion," Yan told Armenia’s Public television.
According to him, Armenia has such potential due to the number of creative people.
"Unlike many other spheres, serious technical skills are not required here. Armenia has creativity, entrepreneurship, technical knowledge and intelligence. This combination is enough," Yan said.
A digital employee is a combination of robotic process automation technology and conversational artificial intelligence that works in partnership with employees. It answers questions, understands a person's intentions and acts on their behalf, leaving them in control, retaining their authority and providing an improved experience. -0-
