Business plan on Gyumri’s industrial park to be ready by mid-December
YEREVAN, November 14. /ARKA/. A business plan on opening an industrial park in Armenia’s Gyumri city will be ready by mid-December, reported Zhenya Azizyan, head of the ITT (Information and Telecommunication Technologies) Department, RA Ministry of Economy.
An expert from Ireland is now collaborating with three Armenian specialists to make the industrial park’s business plan and submit it to the RA Government in December, she said, adding the government would take further steps only after studying the business plan.
On March 2, 2006, Armenia’s Government approved the program for the establishment of a Gyumri-based industrial park on the basis of the Analitsark-1 plant.
The industrial park is likely to become an incubator for small and medium business, boosting exports of science intensive technologies.
Armenia’s Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan previously said the government had agreed with Sun Microsystems on carrying out joint research in the new industrial park.
Together with the government, the 3D Association, the Union of Jewelers, the Union of Diamond Cutters plan to set up the first 3D laboratory in Armenia to combine traditional jeweler’s art with modern design. –0--
