Number of Orange Armenia company’s internet connect users reaches 35,000
YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. The number of Orange Armenia Company’s Internet connect users has reached 35,000 against 25,000 in the beginning of this summer, Orange Armenia CEO Bruno Duthoit said Saturday at a news conference.
Of them, 1,000 are users of Flybox modems, just as the planned by the company.
Duthoit said that the number of users is expected to grow considerably in September along with economic activity rally.
He said that the number of users has grown also thanks to expansion of the network, which is already ensure 93-to-95-percent coverage in the country.
Orange provides mobile high-speed Internet services in Armenia by using 7.2-MB and 14.4-MB Flash modems and Flybox modem.
Monthly prices for Internet packages range between AMD 6,000 and AMD 20,000.
Orange Armenia, fully owned by France Telecom (Orange brand), started operating in Armenia on November 5, 2009.
The company started its activity with 83-percent coverage, providing access to mobile telecommunication and Internet in 500 cities and villages. ($1 = AMD 365.85). -0--
